Hey Friends! My bible study group has been covering some sweet topics lately so I really wanted to share some with you!

The first is Prayer. Praying is hard! Sometimes awkward. Maybe it feels like you are talking to someone who never speaks back. Maybe sometimes you’re afraid to pray for BIG things because you don’t want to be disappointed. Maybe you don’t know HOW to pray. I’m no expert but here are some things I’ve learned recently and still practicing.

So in Matthew 6:8 it says that God knows what you need EVEN before you ask him. So if he already knows what you need, whats even the point of asking? Good question!!

So here are THREE things prayer does for us in our relationship with God.

1) It expresses our TRUST in Him. Instead of just expecting things to happen, persistantly pray for something or someone. Go boldy to the Lord with ALL of your needs, don’t ever think one problem is too big or too small for our God to handle. He is a BIG God who cares for every detail in our lives.

2) Prayer brings us deeper into fellowship with Him. It’s a conversation with one of your friends, the more you talk the deeper and stronger your relationship becomes. A great example of HOW to pray and have fellowship with God is the Lords prayer. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name——-PRAISES GOD

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven—-Trusting His will to be done

Give us this day our daily bread———-Asking HIM to provide for us

And forgive us our debts————Asking for HIS forgiveness

We have also forgiven our debtors——-Asking for help to forgive others

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.—-Protection from evil

3) Prayer allows us to participate in activities that are ETERNALLY important. When we enter into a relationship with Jesus we have ETERNAL LIFE. Not forever on earth, but forever with our God of the Universe!!

Some extra info nuggets: When you pray BE SPECIFIC. Instead of asking God to fix your family, specifically pray for specific people in your family to encounter God or pray for healing of specific things in that person’s life. I would also encourage you to read a Pslam  a day-it can really help you to choose some powerful words to use when praying!

SO what can I be praying for YOU about? Comment or message me cause I would love to pray for you.

Things you can pray about for me:

1. Discovering how to love people better and implement it into my life

2. To not worry about Fundraising and trusting the Lord in that

3. For my squad to continue growing closer and for their fundraising as well

That’s it for now folks, have a blessed day!!
