Highs:

First day of ministry some people on our squad met a woman at Starbucks that really needed prayer
-
Raul, Ana, Sami and Jonathan welcoming us into the missionary house with them. Being able to know them better and help them around the house.

Learning from Raul and hearing the vision the Lord has placed in his heart for Romania and the Balkin Countries.

Getting to go do karate and being able to build relationships there with Sensei Georgi and being able to give him a Bible
-
Hosting beauty for ashes and providing a space for women’s ministry where women are left to search for community on their own.

Watching Spider-Man and Lion King in the theater in English!!

Going to Brasov and the Bran Castle in Transylvania, while half the squad went to Greece for our adventure days.

Seeing the mountains of Romania

Getting to work with all the missionaries in Craiova and seeing different kinds of ministry happening within that area.

Hosting a youth event where we did a flash mob

Getting to stay as a whole squad this month and getting to take turns cooking all squad meals.

Saying hi to puka the sweet puppy as we walked to ministry and as we walked home.

Getting ice cream or fresh pretzels on the way to ministry most days

The week of rain that cooled the temperature from high 80s and 90s to low 70s

Having a Starbucks close by for the first time all race and using them for their air conditioning on off days.

Getting to organize the office and pamphlet table, while listening to the Narnia Series on audio books.

Getting to Joshua prayer walk the Craiova University twice.

Steak!! Making beef with broccoli for a squad meal and staying under budget for that meal.

Getting to be joined by the aim’s ambassadors program— high school aged short term missions trip

Praying profetically over the ambassadors

Praying profetically and encouraging the missionaries in Craiova

Getting to be a part of the New Testament project. Trying to get a bible in every home.

Putting on “a night in the USA” event. It was a cross cultural event where we had the opportunity to help build relationships with university students through a cross cultural event.

Getting up every morning we had ministry to do Yoga and finishing a thirty day yoga challenge.

Celebrating Oscar, Allie, Sarah, Maddie, and Dan’s birthdays as a squad
Lows:

Sharing two bathrooms with 23 other people
-
Cockroaches.

The van ride to Brasov was hot and very curvy.

Spiritual warfare up the wazooo

Waking up one morning and there being 25 more people sleeping at the mission house with us and using the same two bathrooms, without any notice.

Getting attacked by mosquitos

It being in the high 80s and low 90s for most of our stay

The light in the kitchen blowing out and having to cook in the dark for breakfast that morning.
Bozos:

Running home in a raging storm after watching Spider-Man in the theater.

As we were driving on a highway the registration for our vehicle flew out the window. We ended up walking along the sides of the road looking for it for about 30 minutes. Unfortunately we didn’t find it.

Signing up for art ministry and only getting to paint once. Instead doing street evangelism ministry nearly everyday.

A tiny black dog that would try and bite our ankles as we walked into our house.

The power going out in the middle of the night and I thought someone had turned off the fan on purpose, so I got up to try and turn it on only to realize the power was out.

Getting serenaded by Sami and Connor one night and then getting everyone to yell/sing “I love Jenny” (I felt the most loved and the most uncomfortable at the same time)

Finding out the neighbors really love blasting their music on the weekends all day and all night long. At least they had good music taste though!
