Welcome to Siem Reap, Cambodia

Well it’s been a great time in Vietnam! I have had more friend requests on Facebook than I could ever count haha! My old team spent a lot of time teaching English to Vietnamese College students. It was really cool because God really put us in a position at times to talk to them about Jesus. Even with it being a closed country and not being able to evangelize. It just really shows me that God does all the work. I mean I didn’t even know how I was going to show these people the love of Christ then I realize I have already did. Because even though I didn’t talk about Jesus, I showed people the love that he gave when he just went and talked to his children. I love Vietnam and I really hope someday I will come back!

Well that was a trip down memory lane! So now I am in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We now just got done with our big debrief and a lot of things have changed. I am on a new team this time or should I mention Samuel and I are on a new team. It’s called the Avengers!!! We got Rissa our team lead and Ironman, Nae Nae our treasurer and Black Widow, Martha Sue our storyteller and Captain America! Also teammates Summer who is Thor and Samuel Dr. Strange! For me I am our worship facilitator and I am also the squads Culture Coordinator which is a new role for the World Race! Also my nickname is the HULK!!!

Now I would like to mention that it is another squad month and every team will be doing different ministries. My team is doing ATL (ask the Lord) this is the second time for me. So far my team has decided to have the morning with the Lord, have a team time in the afternoon and then do night ministry in town of Siem Reap. So far this is what we got. I am excited to see what God has planned for this month.

Now I kind of want to be a little personal right now. Last week in debrief the brothers and I on our squad did a feet washing for the ladies and leadership. I went to Maddie and said that God has put on my heart to do something for the sisters on our squad. I got the idea to wash their feet the way Jesus felt about washing his disciples feet. For me I got really nervous because I just didn’t know how they would feel about me doing this. But I felt so much love from the Holy Spirit and the sisters. It was hard because I thought so much of the way I treated women in my past that they would feel the same way. But God is still doing some healing with that. I will show you that in my next blog. Thanks everyone! Happy reading!
