Well, back to writing another funfilled blog about my incredible journey of the World Race which I’m about to embark on! Since I quit my job at the Trailer factory right before I was leaving for training camp and when I got back from training camp I’ve had a lot of time on my hands. I went to my cousins wedding, stayed with my brother and his family on the farm. Got to experience the farmers market in Birmingham Alabama, so then I got home to INDIANA and got to relax a bit.
Last weekend i decided to go to Chicago! So first thing i did was call up one of my squadmates who lives there. She was having a fundraiser for her trip to the same route I was taking. She was bartending even though she had no idea what to do but still nice of the owner to let her bartend to help with her fundraiser. It was amazing Who God puts in your life! Especially when I have two guys who I grew up with live in Chicago! So I’ve been staying with them for the weekend. We took a spin cycle class, explored the city, ran all over the city, took a boat ride on the riverwalk and gone out drinking every night! It was such a blessing to have great friends to bless me with the quality time I needed before I leave for the World Race.
I’ve had a great time this weekend and part of what God did was answer prayer! After one year of my Dad not talking to me, he finally has spoken to me! It felt so great to know I still had hope and trust in the Lord! Thank you all who has prayed for me over this. That was something I wanted to accomplish before I leave.
