Yes you read that correctly and no I haven’t burnt down the house…. yet.  I’ve always liked cooking but cooking for 50 people is something I’ve never done before. But who doesn’t like a task. Everyday Emma and I wake up early and make breakfast with the cooks which is surprising so much more fun that I expected. If you know me, you know I am NOT a morning person. Most days it takes me about an hour after waking up to have human interactions because I literally can’t form words right after waking up. But I managed to learn how to wake up early and cook. Praise the lord! Most morning we wake up cook breakfast and before it’s even served we start preparing lunch. Most morning we cook lunch while we eat breakfast, which was very eye opening to me. Here at HOPEthiopia they have 3 amazing cooks and it really made me realize how hard they work for us! They wake up early every morning and cook nonstop will after lunch when they rest for a couple hours to get right back at it for dinner. These women work so hard and it’s been so humbling to be able to help them. Also they are sooo fun to cook with!! They make everything funny! Whether it be them force feeding weird African food to me or them constantly pinking and poking me. It’s always fun! Cooking with them has thought me so much about how to love and bless others through cooking. Also I’ve learned how to make so many fun meals! Food is what bring people together so well and I can’t wait to use this new passion back home!
