Teaching in Battambang was definitely a once and a lifetime experience! The Lord taught me so much patience and joy with these children. Everyday I would walk into class to find many smiling faces, which made having to create lesson plans literally in a split second, totally worth it. Teaching involved a lot of creativity and quick thinking when the khmer teacher would hand me a paper with a random fruit or animal and tell me to teach. The children’s odd pronunciation of the word cat and me making odd animal noises in an effort to get them to understand what i’m taking about made for many laughs and memories. One of my favorite things to do with them was to teach an aerobics class! Even though it was like 100 degrees (literally) it was sooo much fun to see them mock me in an attempt to do the workout. Many of times the kids would take over and try to teach me all the cool Cambodian dance moves. So truthfully there wasn’t much aerobics happening but I did get an ab workout from laughing so much. I count the little time I had with these children as a blessing that I will never forget! Below are some picture to show the beautiful faces I got to love on!
