Asking for money is not easy. Asking for money is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. My whole life I’ve been taught to work for your money and to make a living well enough to support yourself. My whole life I’ve actually been taught to be afraid to ask for money, so fundraising was especially hard for me.
I have recently reconnected with an old friend that I used to play softball with. God put us into each other’s lives again and she is someone that I have really missed being around. As I began to hang out with her more, I realized that God is so incredibly apparent in her life. But it’s not just her life, it’s her parents lives as well. One night a couple weeks before launch, I had a dream that her whole family sat me down and wrote a check for the amount of money that I had left to fundraise. At the time, that was $10,000 so I told God there was no way I was going to ask them for that money. I could barely ask someone for $10.
Fast forward to last night, I was sitting and praying in my tent because I was frustrated. I wondered why I felt so ignored. I had reached out to people close to me, and I felt ignored by God. I was wondering why He wasn’t coming through with His promise to provide financially for me. And as I sat in my tent and prayed He said to me, “Hannah, I already gave you the answer 7 months ago.”
I thought of the dream. I thought of the family. And I was obedient. I reached out to the family that was in my dream, and sure enough, God provided the rest of the amount I needed to be fundraised. God never ever turned His back on me and He never ignored me. He knew exactly what I needed when I needed it. And I am expectant that He will keep his promise from now on, because He is a good good father.
I want to thank the family that donated over $2,500 to the Lord’s mission. I want to thank you for not only believing in how God is working in my life, but also for believing in how God is working across the world. God has transformed your family. He has taught you so much, and through you, he has taught me so much. I can’t thank you enough, and I am grateful for your generous hearts. I am really happy the Lord has brought you back into my life. The spirit is so present within your family, and I can’t wait to see how many other lives you change.
To all my supporters, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I could not have done it without your generous hearts. You have not just partnered with me, but you have partnered with what God is doing for this world and I cannot wait to show you all the works God is doing through you. Don’t think for a second that the money you donated is just a donation. You are now a part of how God is changing the world. You are just as much a part of this as I am. And you are incredible:)
God just provided $18,200!!! What the heck!!
I love you all!
