Hello everybody,I just wanted to share a quick run through of what this week’s ministry is going to look like for team Selah.
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday of this week after breakfast we will have individual devotions from 7:45 until about 8:30. Then we will take the bus to Parramos at 9:30. When we arrive to Parramos we will take a second bus up to a village called Cajaualten, were we will be teaching VBS in the mornings. Our over all lesson for VBS is God’s unending love. Monday’s lesson is about God providing because he loves us. The bible verse to go along with this is Matthew 4:13-21, Jesus feeds the 5000. Wednesdays lesson is about how God comforts us in the hard times because he love us and the Bible verse is Daniel 3:19-30 (Shadrach, Meschach and Abednago). And Fridays lesson is about how God is our friend because he loves us and the verse is Luke 19:1-10. During these days of VBS we will have worship songs, crafts and games. After VBS in the mornings we will be visiting houses, and spending time with the families of the village.
On Tuesdays, after breakfast we have what is called Deep Dive with Kevin. Right now we are reading through Luke 5 and discussing it as a group. Then we usually take the bus to Chimaltenango, where we help at a English Academy. We help with the students prepositions, help grade papers, paint and help with whatever they may need. But this week we are actually going to Antigue to meet the teachers of the academy and students to help with their presentations. After this we will head back to Chimaltenango, where we are teaching a devotional with the students from 5:30 to 6:30.
On Thursdays, we have our individual devotions after breakfast. After devotions at about 9 we start activation and teachings. After activation we get in our teams to head out to do what is called ATL (Ask The Lord). Were we go to our ministry sights and we pray and ask the Lord where he wants to take us and what he has to share with that family.
