Happy Holidays! And IM FULLY FUNDED!!!
Hey family and friends! I hope this holiday season is treating you all well and your days are “merry and bright”! Thanks to all of my prayer and financial supporters for your efforts in getting me fully funded so that I can continue to spread the gospel around the world! I’ll officially be seeing you all in June, no sooner 😉
This year holidays look very different in my life. This thanksgiving I made a lot of the food for our meal, 1 oven 5 dishes, it took all day. (Granna, Grandma, Momma, you guys are champions)
After arriving in Guatemala, everyone on our squad pitched in to buy a Christmas tree! Each room on the compound is getting in the Christmas spirit with lights, home-made decorations, Christmas music, and even pine sented diffusers. It if looks anything like Christmas, it has to smell like it too.
On Thursday, our squad drew names for Secret Santa! Luckily there is a MEGA thrift store just one town over that has everything from shoes, to Christmas trees, to sweaters with fighting gingerbread men on them, so we have a great place to shop for fun Christmas gifts.
It’s been hard being away from my family in this season, and especially hard to choose “in”; aka being present during ministry and with your team, when being at home for the holidays keeps sneaking back into your head.
But ultimately, choosing in is choosing God. When we choose Him we choose to do His will instead of our own, we choose to focus our eyes and hearts on the people that surround us, not the people at home. Although we all miss our families back home, we’ve created a HUGE new family and we are to choosing to love each other just as much as our own.
My biggest wish for Christmas this year, is that none of my (V Squad) family would have to go home, especially be cause of fundraising. So if you have a yes in your spirit to give to anyone on my squad this season, I will list the names below!
