I’ve heard people talking about their mental breakdowns at Walmart after coming home from the Race. To be honest, I’ve been expecting some crazy culture shock now that I am back. In case you weren’t aware, I landed at LAX on June 24th and then made my way to New Jersey on the 26th. I’m spending a few days here, visiting my dad and catching up with my brother. So far, no meltdowns. Maybe it’s because I’m not, technically, “home” yet. Even when I do make my way back to New Phila, I’m not entirely sure what the plan is— do I need to stay home alone for a week? Do I need friends and family to be with me at all times so I don’t go stir crazy without community?
I don’t know how I feel about being back, because I sort of feel it all and nothing, all at once. It’s hard to summarize a whole year. Gosh, it was hard enough for me to summarize a month at a time to blog about it or journal about it.
But, I’ve been thinking that in the same way you have wanted to know about my year, I want to know more about yours. I want to hear your stories. I want to see you. I want to spend time with you, but I also have no idea how to handle my schedule back home anymore. But, please, ask me to dinner. Ask me to come over and get caught up on the latest movies or shows. Ask me to go on a walk or run errands. Please, ask me to be a part of your world. I will want to say yes! But there might be times when I may say no. I hope you understand.
There might be a lot of questions I don’t 100% know the answers to but feel free to ask away. But for the record, no, I don’t know exactly what I’m doing when I get home…except for TRY REALLY HARD to finish updating all my blogs and catching up on all my journaling. But, here are some fun little questions I have answers for 🙂
