Fully Funded and It Feels So Good!
I AM FULLY FUNDED FOR THE WORLD RACE JOURNEY!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me financially and in thought and prayer! I hope I have been able to convey what God has been doing through some of my blog posts. But, please feel free to ask me questions, shoot me an e-mail, and check-in!
Before going home next Summer, I have been given the opportunity to attend an Anti-Human Trafficking Training in Thailand and obtaining a certificate in Global Injustice Response.
This will only give me three extra weeks on the field before I come home mid July 2019 to prepare for starting my Master’s in Clinical and School Counseling at Walsh University and getting a job!
I will be posting more information VERY soon, as well, now that I am fully funded for the World Race! If you have any questions or want to know more, please ask!
Here is a little information on the Justice Training School through Love Justice Global for June 23rd – July 14th:
Love Justice Global is a faith-based anti-trafficking organization that dedicates itself to providing top quality long term restoration and after-care to children rescued from the injustices of human trafficking and exploitation in India & Thailand. Through The Justice Training School academic program, I will become certified in Global Injustice Response Training and live in Thailand for three weeks while becoming educated and trained by world renowned professionals to combat this nefarious crime on the front lines. I will have the honor of reaching out to those enslaved, working in refugee camps, and so much more!
The curriculum is built on research, education, advocacy, collaboration and hope for justice. In the three weeks of participating in the program, we will be looking at God’s heart for Justice and Understanding Complexities of Human Trafficking, Rescue and Restoration, and Ethics and Outreach!
I know that God wants me to continue going beyond my comfort zone and fighting for the freedom of others. My prayer and hope is that I can become educated and equipped to eradicate injustice and bring light into the dark places— yes, even back home in the States/Ohio. I feel blessed to have this incredible opportunity and know there is a lot of work ahead as I begin to prepare.
Did You Know?
According to U.S. Federal Bureau of Information Crime Reports, Ohio has ranked as high as fifth among all states in total reported human trafficking cases, with Toledo being identified as the fourth highest ranking city in the nation for recruiting victims into the illegal trade.
