Due to tension in Haiti, we are experiencing a route change! We knew that this was a possibility all along, but it actually came to us before we even left the country. Flexibility– it’s just something we learn to live with on the Race.
Previous route: Chile, Peru, Colombia, Rwanda, Kenya, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic
New Route: Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Rwanda, Kenya, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia

Pray for Haiti:
In July Haiti’s prime minister (PM) resigned a week after deadly protests in the country. Riots erupted when the government decided to raise fuel prices by up to 51% to balance the country’s budget and get some back up from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). But a lot of Haitians weren’t okay with that. Now, the president has to name a new PM – and the IMF recommends taking changes like this slow. The tension has continued to rise and as our leaders have prayerfully considered whether our squad should reconsider travel to Haiti, they have decided that, for now, it is best to not travel to Haiti. We will now extend our last two months in Asia instead of traveling to the Caribbean.
Tomorrow, we leave for CHILE!
