Last week I booked my flight to Atlanta for Launch. I’m going to leave Switzerland on Friday, the 3rdAugust. On 8thAugust, our squad is going to leave the States and take off to Chile till the end of August.

Today I came to know where my team is going to stay and what ministry we’re going to do in our first country, Chile!

We will be with “Vision For Children” in the Capital City Santiago. It’s the easiest way to share the received ministry description with you:

Casa Esperanza is a house for girls that either are too old to be in an orphanage or girls from the street that need a safe place to live as they are going to school. You may be helping with manual labor around the house, manual labor at the orphanage down the street and working in a school. The biggest part of our ministry is building relationships with the girls that live in the house.

For me it’s exciting and a privilege to work with girls and to be a part of the vision to be a place of hope to them. Obviously, I’m most excited about assisting teachers in schools.

Second I hesitated a little bit with sharing with you the following, my growth-goals. Because of the fact that it’s easy to come out the race unchanged – what I definitely don’t want – it’s important to intentionally seek gain. To avoid missing opportunity for growth, Tammy our squad mentor encouraged us to write down some personal goals for the first four month which we’re going to review. Now I do not explain my goals in detail. But I’ve decided to share them because I believe in the beauty of vulnerability namely that intimacy, strength and internal freedom grows from it. I’m thankful when you include them in your prayers.
