It seems like yesterday that I posted my last blog, trying to sum up the race and share some significant moments and people in the 9 months of the race. It’s obviously kind of impossible to encompass 9 months of life in a few hundred words, but it’s been 3 months since that last post and somehow it feels like forever but also yesterday that I was flying home from Costa Rica. Learning how to step back into life that was once so familiar, but now feels just a bit off has been a beautiful, weird, overwhelming, wild process. Learning how to navigate the realities of this life that is just as real and significant and important as the last year has been hard. It’s been beautiful and challenging in so many ways and as the next thing in life is quickly getting closer, I’m looking back and feeling beyond grateful for these last 3 months. It’s looked like time and space. Rest and reconnection. Mourning and celebrating. Remembering and stepping into new things. In all the weirdness and ugly at times, I’m just really thankful for these days that went by way too fast.

And now, here I am, less than a week away from leaving home again. Wild! Very unexpected! Very much Jesus! I love how He works in ways that are usually kind of crazy and maybe a bit inconvenient because it really takes me to places I would have NEVER dreamed. But it’s been so worth it to say yes every time. I’m at the beginning of another yes, and I’m beyond excited to see what these months are going to hold.

First of all, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported me with their prayers and love and encouragement in the last year. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to describe just how much of a difference it made, so all I can really say is thank you. It’s such a privilege to be loved by you, and I am THANKING God big time for the community He’s placed me in. Truly so blessed. I know that your prayers are going to keep making a difference not just for me, but also in the lives of the women I get to lead in this season. So thank you!

Here are the details! I am heading out to Thailand and Malaysia for three months (early September through early December), with a group of absolutely incredible people. In this group of 41 racers, I will be leading a team of 7 women! I’ll be getting to disciple, love, serve, encourage, do ministry alongside, and live and walk closely with them in the first three months of their race. I got the chance to meet them in July and I am already BLOWN AWAY by their wisdom, depth, love, intentionality, humility, and faithfulness. I feel deeply humbled and blessed to even be in the same space as them. And I am so excited to see what Jesus does in and through each of them! I am so expectant of what these months are going to hold. I’ve seen just how much He can move and work in even just a few weeks, and I’m dreaming BIG things for these women. It’s going to be so good. Because He is so so good.

Here’s a picture of my team! Team Selah! Look at them! So incredible! I’m so proud!

I’d love for y’all to join me in this season of leading these ladies by covering them with your prayer and support too! Read their blogs! Be their fans! Even from a million miles away, prayer is powerful and makes such a difference!

This is really happening!! I feel so blessed and completely in awe at how He loves to use us. He doesn’t have to but He chooses to. What. A. Gift.

Get ready for three more months of blogs! This is going to be wild!
