My team is a group of 7 (8 including me) amazing women who I will get to do life with every day on the race. I love them dearly already and wait with expectation for the deep friendships I know are in the near future. Being placed into a new family with people who are literally strangers is weird, and it’s weird to navigate vulnerability and pursuit in this process. But God’s been so faithful in it all! These girls already love me so well and call me to greater things every day. Wow! My team rocks!

Before I left for Cambodia I spent time with the Lord asking Him what His heart was for each of my teammates. I still don’t know them deeply and fully (and I cannot wait until I do) but here’s some snapshots of my prayers over them to help y’all start to get to know this new family of 8 that I’m living in.
HANNAH- In Him is the peace that surpasses all understanding. He wants you to step into a new place of peace and rest in this season. He left us His peace to help us stand firm in the midst of the chaos and stress that’s so normal in this life. He is the rock and the refuge you can cling to. His peace is going to be made REAL to you in this new season.
SARA- You have chosen Jesus day after day in the big and small. You have been faithful to love and follow Him. He loves that you chose Him first. He has also chosen you. He wants to remind you of and make you even more secure in your identity in Him. He chooses you every day regardless of your successes or failures. You are chosen by the King of Kings.
JACI- Take courage. He is building courage and boldness in you in this season. He is calling you into more and He will give you the the push to dive into what He has for you. Life with Him is wild and big. He is pulling you deeper into it. Release and let go of what you’re holding and let Him fill you with courage and freedom. Press into it and watch as He supplies you with exactly what you need.
PAIGE- He is giving you eyes to see more. He wants to teach you how to look past a physical person and see their heart. He’s teaching you to see others the way He sees them. This is a gift. Surrender to Him and continue to pursue His ways and His heart. He’s opening your eyes in new ways and this will impact so many lives around you.
CINDY- He will never fail you. He will never leave you. He is more constant and steady than your closest friend. Depend on Him. Rely on Him. Look to Him first for the stability, comfort, support, and encouragement that you need to get through the day. Put your hopes in Him and watch Him do more than you could’ve expected. Let your foundation be built on Him, the rock. He will provide for you.
CAROLINE- He is rebuilding you. You’re like a house going through renovation. His process may be painful at times as He chips away the things that you don’t need to carry, but you are becoming more like Him every day. It’s beautiful. Continue to let Him have His way in you and cling to Him when it hurts. Know that He is doing a good work in you and it is amazing and will be completed.
HANNAH GRACE- When you are weak He is your strength. In your weakness His grace is perfect. Don’t be afraid of your weaknesses. You don’t have to do this on your own and He doesn’t want you to. He will cover you with His strength and power. He will be more than enough for you. He sees you and knows you fully, and in everything, He is for you.
I adore them. Already. Which may be weird since I’m still getting to know them, but in many ways, I think it’s God giving me His heart and eyes for them. I am in expectation for the future of our team. So so overjoyed that these are the girls God chose for me. Join me in praying truth over my team as we do life in Cambodia!
