Since about month two of the world race I have held onto this new way of life. I’ve been intentional about being bold and asking for things that I want. Far too often in the past I would let fear hold me back from simply asking a question. So far I’ve gotten to see and do some pretty cool things from it. One of my teammates said: “well if you don’t ask then the answer is already no.“ SO TRUE!

Just to name a few things that this new way of living has brought me, here are some examples: I asked to see a rooftop in Haiti and the view was absolutely breathtaking. I asked for help from the founder of Impact Africa in bargaining for a cool pair of south african pants at this huge market and he helped me get the pants for the price I wanted to pay. Was I a little nervous to ask him? Yes, but he gladly helped. It wasn’t much of a burden to him.

I wanted to see people accept Christ into their hearts and I asked God for that. I got to see not just one lady but two women accept Christ into their lives. I saw there was a karaoke machine and I asked if we could use it. I absolutely love karaoke, so I was beyond pumped when the answer was yes. I knew there was an option that we could meet the chief here in Botswana. Guess what? I asked and on Monday we are meeting him and apparently we have to wait in line super early and wear skirts.

One of the biggest things I have been asking God is to get me fully funded by Novemember 30th and I know that He will do it. He is so much bigger and better than we can even imagine. Only about $2,000 left to raise.

I have no clue what else I’m going to want to ask for in the future but I’m excited to see what God has in store. This life isn’t supposed to be boring. You don’t have to withhold doing things just because you’re afraid of what someone might say. All you gotta do is ask.
