Yesterday morning during my quiet time I asked God for boldness and a chance to talk about my dad with someone.

Wow he answered in a bigger and a stinkin cool way. I think back to the first time I really wanted to see someone give their lives to Christ. It was my two Chinese friends.

That whole year I prayed for them. I shared God with them but they never gave their lives to Him.

Anyways Levi, Julia and I got to go out into the squatter camp Kai Sands as a team. Our Impact Africa leader told us to expect failures today but he was expecting good things. Boy did we face failures. We received rejection after rejection. Closed ears and doors toward us, I think like 9 people rejected talking with us.

Then we stumbled upon these three women sitting outside of one of their houses. I asked if we could talk or if they were busy and they said we could join them. So we plopped onto the ground. We started off with our usual introductions hearing how they ended up in Kai Sands. Then a woman literally came from across the street, sat down and asked if we could pray for her.

Before we even said one word to her she knew like she somehow knew we would pray for her. She explained that she needed a job. Then the other two women asked for prayer. One of the women that had a 2 year old said that her brother was in jail so we prayed for him.

The other woman asked that we pray for her boyfriend. Her and her boyfriend have been dating for 7 years and they live together. I got to share with her how my mom and dad also dated each other for about that same amount of time before my dad finally proposed. I shared how he waited until he saw a shooting star at a waterfall to ask my mom to marry him.

Anyways two of the women shared how they go to church sometimes so they knew about God but they didn’t know God. I explained how I too thought that going to church, reading my Bible, praying occasionally was good enough. That was until I learned that God wanted my entire life not just a part of it. I got to share his Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We deserve death and separation from Him but He gave us grace. He gave us His son.

Levi got to share more scripture about Jesus and Julia shared some as well. Afterwards Levi explained that any of them could at any time chose to ask God into their lives. I could tell one of the woman was really processing through everything we were sharing, she was super quiet. So one of the women had a 1 & 1/2 year old and she was wrapping him up on her back to carry him so I asked if I could try. She laughed and said of course. It was a failure the child almost fell of my back but I caught him..oops.

After that we all were talking and again Levi asked if anyone of them right then wanted to accept Jesus into their heart and one lady raised her hand. So I was able to pray the “salvation prayer”. I put quotations because honestly I can’t remember a word I said but I know that God was speaking through me. Also the other woman, with the 1 & 1/2 year old started repeating me and put her trust in the lord.

That’s 2 women that went from death to life. 2 women that didn’t know God’s goodness and love for them. The two women were the lady in the green stripped shirt and yellow shirt!

I am blown away by what God has done in and through me. I really can’t wait to see what else He is going to do.

I really need your help though. I still have $3,000 to raise by November 30th. If you could share this blog/ talk about it with anyone and literally everyone you know that would be super. I believe He will provide!

Love y’all so much. Levi actually recorded a video during my prayer/ that day if you want to watch it here is the link. We both are still fundraising!!
