Hi friends! My name is Emily Baumgartner, I am 19 years old and currently in my second semester of college at Grand Canyon University! I live in the very hot city of Phoenix, Arizona. Some of my hobbies are making random crafts off of pinterest, hiking in the Arizona desert, and hanging out with my dog Brody(also refferred to as suzie).
God has always placed missions on my heart. My heart is so big for others, and God has made me a sympathetic person for a reason. He has called me to serve others for His kingdom.
My life verse is Matthew 16:24-25 which says, “Then Jesus told his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”
I love the beauty that this verse communicates. Take up your cross and follow me. Everything that is familiar to you, your home, family, school, work. Surrender it, and follow Jesus. This is what God has called me to do in this next season of my life. To take away all of those things that I so often cling to, and cling to the only thing that gives me life, Jesus.
If I can ask for one thing from you I ask for prayer. (because that is a necessity) for strength to overcome the enemies attacks as I prepare for this journey, for my squad on this mission, for God’s guidance in the process, for funds to be met, and for anything else that comes to your heart. PRAYER IS NECESSARY.
