Its has been 3 weeks since I’m home from Training Camp. So many things happened at training camp that it is so hard to know where to begin. So here I go… I heard God say repeatingly…
WAIT- BE STILL- LISTEN –
As I entered the place with “flutterflies” in my stomach. I was nervous and excited. The people who greeted you gave you this warm welcome easing and calming down the “fluttering.’
Ellen leading us to the campsite where we called home for the next 10 days. Andy helping me with setting up my tent. I felt right at home with this couple, they are so full of wisdom and showing their love to the squad. I’m so blessed to have them walk with us in the next 11 months.
Meeting my squad I felt right away that this was the perfect bunch God wanted me to be with for the next 11 months. These are the people God handpicked to go together and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit. Teaching the new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this Jesus said: I am with you always even unto the end of age. Matthew28:18-20 Each bringing their gifts and talents to what God gave us. To bring an aroma of his glory as we embrace each other and enter into the places to where God wants us to go. To be community and empower the church as we grow more intimate with God.

Now to the nitty, gritty, strippy, stuff. As I entered worship night the first evening, my identity came crashing down, satan knew my weakest point and he nailed me with thoughts like… you are so different, people won’t understand you, do you even have what it takes, you worship differently, basicly saying you are worthless. You see God is almighty, powerful and he came through so amazing! After the songs we had a time of quietly entering the presence of God seeking him in whatever we felt lead to. So God told me to go ask this lady to pray for me. I did and as she was praying she just spoke to all my needs and then… The MIRICLE happened! In the end she prayed for my body as she was praying jitters started going through my right leg, from my hip all the way down to my ankle. The jitters stopped and the pain was gone!! I was healed!!! It was the knee I had surgery on in 2016 and it was hurting from standing too long. Ahhh!! I experienced God in a way I never did before. I felt the presence of God speaking volumes to me of how much he cares about every little detail of me. This was totally God as I didn’t her anything except to pray that I’m fully committed to this journey. And see what God does he also lets me be with this lady’s life for the first 5 month of the race. It was Leann Wright one of my squad leaders that prayed for me that evening.
One morning as I was praying I asked God to send me an angel. God did!! Not only one, God decided. But three! I believe he sends us more angels then we know. That evening of worship as we were singing a gentleman came and prayed for me. I knew God answered my prayer. I felt so emotional of the beauty of God’s Love. After singing we had a session about how much God Values us it spoke directly to my heart. So we had to spend a few minutes of quiet time pondering over questions and doing what God tells us to do. The first question was… Jesus what do you think of me. As I was sitting there asking this question a lady came and said, God told me to tell you these words and it answered the question what I was asking. I was totally in awe before my maker, hearing him in an audible voice telling me how much he loves me!! God didn’t quit there… He is Love and its forever! A few minutes later another hand on my shoulder, a lady saying God told me to come and pray for you. So she prayed and the words she said repeated words that I had Written down in my journal that forenoon about the Holy spirit. God’s love is so amazing it works in so many different ways! That evening was a breaker for me. Words can’t describe of how I felt! It was phenomenal!!
I had a lot of God moments or that is what I call them. People randomly praying for me, speaking words of life to me. Sitting beside me asking how I am and encouraging me along the way.
The teaching was amazing! I felt that everything was led by God. People sharing their stories and letting God be glorified through it all. By the 3rd day I was filled to the brim, but God had more for me. So my journal is being read repeatingly. As I process it more. More things come alive. One of the things that I liked about the teaching was, whatever we were taught we would put it in action. We were given a unique tool to evangelize to people and we got to go out to the neighborhood of Gainesville. That was a stretch for me! We went with our teams, so as we were walking down the one street we were praying asking God to give us a word for these people, as we came to the end we discussed the words that God gave us then we divided up in 2 groups of 3. So 2 went to the houses and one stayed back to pray. So we took turns however we felt the spirit leading, but I was not planning on being the first to go to the house so I stayed back to pray, it looked so scary to me to actually meet the people. But I knew the only way of having victory over this is to face it and TRUST God that he will give me words to speak if I let him. So I embraced myself and decided I can do all things through Christ. But what really spoke to me was the one time that I stayed back to pray, God told me, the next house I want you to pray over. So I said yes Lord. We went up to the house it was empty and desolate, I was like ok God you send me, give me the words and he did. He gave me a picture of a young family entering the house, feeling the God’s presence and building it for his kingdom. That was amazing, I don’t know what the results will be and I don’t need to as the rest is up to God. I know that obeying him is so rewarding! Walking away from the house I felt empowered and full of energy. Experiencing this I know I always want to obey when God calls me to do something.
All in all it was adventurous, challenging and building community. Having cold bucket showers and porta potties, airport night and community night. Experiencing different cultures everyday with food and dress code. This was my life at training camp.
Thank you all for your prayers and support!! I really appreciate you all!
