The journey I am on right now is just like what it says in Acts and how my life is similar to Barnabas and Paul and Silas. As I am living life according to the word. I am Called to do ministry. I am an ordinary Christian girl who does ministry. I am here living a lifestyle devoted to making much of Christ and meeting the needs of others.
Acts 20:24: “I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus.” The ministry that God gives us to do is important.
I may think on the daily how can I save my life in order to do ministry. But in Reality it should be the opposite how can I lose my
life. It certainly was for Jesus’s who was in his thirties, and I’m only 19!
They seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace.” (verse 19 “The magistrates tore the garments off them.” (verse 22 They “inflicted many blows upon them.” (verse 23) The jailer “fastened their feet in the stocks.” (verse 24)
The other night I prayed for 24 hrs! Just like Paul and Silas. Praying and singing to give full surrender to God . . and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened. (verses 25–26). In the 24 hrs I realized how god gives and takes away continually and is calling me to constantly surrender to him.
A question: As i live my life along following the word of god. where am I ? Am I in the stripped-and-beaten stage, or the unshackled, door-flung-open stage? As we go through different times both are okay because god cares or us and hasn’t left us.
As Barnabas is the son of encouragement. Barnabas encourages people to remain true to the lord with there hearts. He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people where brought to the lord. Barnabas spent a year, with the church teaching many people. Paul And Barnabas urge people to continue in the grace of god. “ I have made you a light for the gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” The word of the lord spread through the whole region. They were persecuted. Speaking boldly for the lord, and the lord confirmed the message of his grace giving signs and wonders. We are bringing good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living god, who made everything. They Preached and won a large number of disciples. Strengthening the disciples to encourage and remain true to faith.
In this Season and for the rest of my life the race can be described with the word wait, I can become so quick to do things and want to go go go and do all of the ministry and everything but the lord has said wait on me Elle, and I will give you the desires of your heart, my heart is excited and I have so many dreams, and things I want to accomplish wanting to be independent and do things alone. I need to wait and depend on Jesus Wait for the lord in times of trouble And in times of rejoicing Wait for the spirit to blow in every single room – jesus is guiding me and when I wait on him and depend on him there’s a different side of Elle that people want more of. As I sit in the space of the lord I am growing more and more like him I know I must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of god and live life like the book of acts becoming extraordinary for Christ.
