Hi! Hello! My name is Elisabeth Sage. I’m 21 years old and I’m currently finishing up my bachelors in psychology at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA. I will be graduating with that degree in December of 2018 so it will be a quick turn around leaving for the race in January. I am involved in a vast array of things on and off campus including being the captain of the women’s soccer team, president of Psi Chi, involved in a campus ministry called Salt Company, and many more!

My freshman year of high school I was exposed to international mission trips. I went with my youth group to the Dominican Republic and it was the most amazing experience of my life. I realized during this trip that this type of thing is was a real passion of mine and something that I wanted to continue to do in the future. Below is a picture of me from that trip!

I first heard about the World Race when I was a senior in high school and immediately felt pushed to do the 11n11 trip. For the last four years, I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind and have just been waiting to turn 21 so I was eligible. Finally, HERE I AM; applied, accepted, and ready to travel the world and spread the gospel for 11 months! I’m leaving to go on the World Race in January 2019. I will be going to Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, and South Africa. While I am a little nervous about leaving the country for 11 months, I am so incredibly excited for this journey!
