This is the start of what looked to be a lonely path. God has a ton more in store for us than we want to accept. The purpose to this blog is to share with you readers the depths of what God does when we choose to submit and find Joy amongst struggle.

The truth about this world race to me is that I do have a ton of spiritual strengths and wisdom that I have been blessed with but have not had much room to exercise them. God has show me that even in my pursuit of loving others there is always room to drop what I have planned and pursue what God is placing before me. The hardest part of dropping what we have planned in the moment is that we often do not see the blessing God is trying to usher us into.

The story starts in Cusco Peru

So we had such a blessed time at Matchu Pitchu and made our way to Cusco where we were blessed with a Host from our other team mates. It is so amazing that we were able to meet our other teams host not a normal thing in the world race. So we get all packed up and head out to spend the day with Tim and Holley in beautiful Cusco. The plan was to leave at 10 pm at night so Connor, Tim and Jenny headed out to get the bags and look for Connors wallet at the house. This was about 3 hours and they returned to meet us at our bus station. Well the long story of checking every nook and crack of the house and in Connors bags turned up empty! So thankfully we (as in Logistics/ team leaders) have had a crash course on this exact scenario AMEN!

The Journey God has in store Begins

We went back with Tim and Holley and started look for the passport for a short time then went to sleep hopeful to see/ find his passport. I prayed and prayed and all I heard for the Lord was to seek where I am at. I had a quite a bit of confusion with seeking my bags and what I saw when I was with Connor. I totally missed what the lord had spoken to me, I was looking for an item in the world and not the spiritual reasoning I was where I was. This was such an eye opener for me while losing a passport sucks because of credit cards, yellow fever card and $ the lord had placed both me and Connor in Cusco with Tim and Holly not by happening or by chance but by a lost passport! (Little did we know what the lord had in store for us).

Tim and Holly are such amazing parents to their 5 children that they home school while full time missionary work in the orphanage they are working with. This story starts with a lost passport and ends with a deeper understanding of who Connor and I are. They spent the time we had with them pouring into us in so many ways with so many different perspectives and opened our minds to how we read the bible and how different it was read in the time It was written. They showed us a ton of things about how the enneagram has so much more than a number or a statistic of people. They showed us and walked through the process of identifying our internal tendency’s to then identify a deeper understanding of ourselves all of this is not for personal growth but it boils down to knowing yourself well enough to help and love others to the best of your ability.

I don’t want to just tell you half the story because on the other end of this journey we were able to help and encourage Tim and Holly and the kids in ways neither of us can really see or comprehend, what happened in the spirit. I know in my heart that our God makes mountains move at the sight of love and unity. Knock and it will be opened, seek and you will find this is the work of only a giant God.

This story has more than just words

Though both Tim, Holly and Connor and I had different plans for our days and our week and quite frankly our lives, God had plans that ultimately are Greater for our lives and our futures. This crazy adventure started with a lost passport and has transformed and encouraged each of our lives and has led us into a depth with our Father and within ourselves that only can be accomplished by willing hearts and a pursuit of depth with the lord. The journey has shown me a lot about spirit led living and to fully surrender to the authority and power of God and to TRUST in the good works the lord is doing in us through the lost passports of life.

I hope that you all find depth in relationship with God!
