On Monday as my team was getting back from ministry we got to the base and the wonderful guys on the squad said to not go into the kitchen and to dressed up and be ready by 5:30pm. So we got all dolled up and waited in excitement for what they were up to in the kitchen. They put out a sign that said “Be Our Guest” and signed all of their names on it and another one that said “Welcome Daughters of the King” When 5:30pm came they opened the door in their best attire. All the lights were out besides a couple of lamps and the guys sat us down and washed our feet. I was so touched that our guys would do that. I never had someone wash my feet before and them doing so showed how much they care for us and being men of Christ. When they were finished they showed us to a table as beautiful music was playing in the background. The table had lovely purple flowers on it and with cards that had each of our names on it with a note on the inside. Mine said:
“Danielle, you have one of the most generous hearts we have ever encountered. Thank you for being a woman who loves others so well. We see you carry yourself with boldness and passion. In Him, The men.”
The card is one of the sweetest gifts I have ever received. I couldn’t stop smiling from all that they had done and the love they put behind it. They came by the table took our drink order and served us an Italian dinner and did the dishes after we were finished, after all that the night was still not over. They moved all the tables and chairs and they put on music so they can swing danced with us which is a blessing since I love to dance. Our men are men who treat us with respect, who go out of their way to do all of this to make us feel special. They are gentlemen, they are men of God. They have shown me that there are men who will treat us like princess. They have re-opened my eyes that men still treat woman with honor. I felt so loved by all that they have done and will never forget that lovely night.
