One day during worship, one of our team leaders, Jess, challenged us to interpret the famous passage of Psalm 23 (highly suggest reading it!) This basically meant that we used the same structure and themes that are present in Psalm 23, but we personalized it to out current life and relationship with God. Sooo here is my interpretation of Psalm 23!
HE IS FAITHFUL!
Papa is my guide to life;
The King has blessed me with everything I may ever need.
He renews spirit through nature;
My Lord directs.
He never fails to give me joy.
Abba leads me to do his will,
Showing me the glory of his magnificent name,
time and time again.
Even when anxiety and fear
Try to make me doubt
I will trust you,
because you are faithful.
The blood of Jesus
covers me and protects me
You show your mighty power and love
To all of those I come in contact with.
You affirm my actions by
giving me joy.
You gift me with never ending blessings.
You will never give up on me
and you will never be finished with me.
And because of your sacrifice
I can know you and be with you
forever.
