Hey there!

So a little back story before I jump in….

I graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in 2011 with my degree in Elementary Education. I immediately started working at Woodbridge School District. I worked with 6th grade, Preschool and currently Kindergarten (which I LOVE!).

Throughout the past couple of years, I have constantly asked myself the question “God, whats your plan for me?” Even though I didn’t verbally hear His answer, there was definitely a restlessness in my spirit that I couldn’t ignore. I was just waiting for His perfect timing.

My Poppop was one of my very favorite people. We lived close to each other and so we constantly would talk on the phone or go somewhere together. The past couple years his health had been decreasing and I knew I couldn’t leave on The World Race with him like he was. Just this past July he passed away. Even though I know he is in Heaven, it is still very difficult without him. That following August, The World Race came flooding back into my mind, in a way that I haven’t experienced before! At that time I began my application and by Thanksgiving I was accepted!

So……

..in August I will be leaving for 11 months to go on the World Race which is a missions organization. I will be traveling with a team of people and we will be going to 1 country every month, so 11 countries in all. While in each country we will doing outreaches and ministering to the people in those places. We will be working in orphanages, teaching English, physical labor, helping women and children that were involved in human trafficking, and whatever else that needs to be done. I am super excited but also nervous. I would appreciate any prayers!

The countries I will be going to are: Ukraine, Bolivia, Romania, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Bulgaria. Throughout the time on the World Race I will be blogging. Anyone that knows me, knows that writing is definitely not my thing. I am going to do my absolute best! If you would like to follow me on this journey, all you have to do is subscribe and you will receive updates as I go!

Thanks for taking the time to read!

I’ll leave you with one quote that I read from the book Wild and Free:

“God designed us for adventure because He knew following Him would be one. I believe this wild and free faith is growing in us. It isn’t wild in rebellion; it is wild in obedience. And it isn’t free to do whatever we want; it is free to do whatever He calls us to do. That kind of faith is powerful, and it is beautiful.”
