I am currently sitting in Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco Texas at this years CAFO conference. For those who don’t know what CAFO means, it stands for “Christian Alliance for Orphans”. This year at CAFO the theme is “What Matters Most” so I would like you to think about that question. What matters most to you? For me there are a few things that matter the most. When I look at the world and see children who are orphaned, that matters most. When I look at the world and see people who are starving, that matters most. When I look at the world and see people who have never heard the name of Jesus, that matters most.
To me, Jesus did not die on the cross for us to be passive, he died for us to be aggressive. By this I mean he died for us to aggressively go out into the world and reach the people that matter the most and those are the people who don’t know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. This is what the World Race means to me. It means doing what matters most to God, bringing his children home to him. To help those who are lost come home and be found in him. It is important for everyone to find out for themselves, what matters most.
