MY NEW TEAM: STEVE

For those of you wondering about our team name Steve, it came from the passage in Acts 6 where it talks about the 7 men (Stephen being one of them) who were chosen to serve the widows. Our teams heart is all about serving. Serving God, serving one another, and serving those around us. We want our focus to be on putting others before ourselves and not just thinking of our own needs but of the needs of others. So that is where the name came from.

1 Corinthians 10:24

Let no one seek His own good, but the good of His neighbor.

1 Corinthians 10:31

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God.

Philippians 2:3-4

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourself. Let each of you look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

I have been loving getting to know these girls on my team. They are extremely intentional individuals who sincerely love God and others so well. Within the first couple days of being a team, they called out so many good things in me that they noticed and I received so much positive affirmation. What an encouragement it has been. I am thankful for each one of these girls and that I am able to grow and do life with them for the next three months.
