Along with finding my values, God really spoke to me about the power I have and what I am worthy of. When I started the race, I didn’t value my story. When I shared my testimony there wasn’t heart behind the words. I didn’t think that people would be impacted by what I was saying. I wasn’t passionate about who I was as an individual.
Not only has God reminded me of my personal values, but God also reminded me that I AM VALUED.
I allowed myself to believe that people didn’t want to hear my testimony because I didn’t experience any huge milestone events that brought me closer to God.
As I read the Old testament, I see how God worked through their lives. All the divine appointments that He orchestrated to trust Him a little more.
I fell into the lie of comparison. I would look at the events in my life and see where it would fall into play in others testimony. But somethings what seemed like a big event in my life, would only be minor in their life. I would then push that event under the rug because there were “better things”.
But that’s completely opposite of the truth. Life isn’t about comparing hardships. We’re all learning different things at different times in different ways. Every single event in your life is important. There is no such thing as a minor problem. God is always working through the details in our life, big or small.
There are many times throughout the bible that says, “God is in the midst.” And it’s just that. God is surrounding you every day. He works in the details of our lives. We are equipped with the Spirit. At all times, we have the choice to choose God in our lives and believe that He is there for every interaction. BECAUSE HE IS.
There’s freedom in realizing the never-ending love that God has for us. Nothing is too small, or too big for Him. Just because there isn’t this pivotal event in your life doesn’t mean that you are less worthy than someone else or not as loved by our Father.
God has control over all things, every story is worth telling.
