Hey everybody,
My squad arrived here in Guatemala Thursday but I haven’t had WiFi until just now and wanted to let you all know what has been going on.
I can already tell that I’m going to love my time here. The people are so nice and the culture is so unique and interesting! I’m so glad I started here because the mountains remind me of home. (Not so much the rain though).
All 53 of us are living at the “base” for Adventures in Missions here in guatemala. We are spoiled! We have hot showers, beds, and 2 awesome ladies that cook for us! The base is between two small towns outside of the big tourist city of Antigua. We’ve been able to go to both towns of Apostelos and Parramos and enjoy the Independence Day festivities and traditions this weekend.
My team will be assigned our ministry for the next 3 months tomorrow and let me tell you, I cannot wait any longer. I can’t wait to see where God puts us!
I’ll let everyone know next week when I get WiFi again what our ministry is and what God does this first week! I’m so grateful we’re here for 3 months and get to know these people well and hopefully make some life-long friends.
