Ive officially lived in Guatemala for over a week!?! Guatemala’s Independence Day was during the first weekend of us being here, so we got to celebrate with them, participating in their traditions. This consisted of: getting hit by sacks filled with water, throwing sacks of water at Guatemalans running the streets with torches (tradition), cheering for parades, and sharing laughs with joyful people. I fell completely in love with Guatemala and her people within one day of being here, and each day longer I spend here I fall deeper in love with it all. I feel blessed by the time I’ve shared with the people here. Ministry has started, and it is incredible. We are evangelizing in a community called San Luis, and running a sports program for the local school. We have just started, but we are meeting more and more people everyday, sharing the gospel and serving in the community. God is oh so big, and it feels like my journey with Him has only begun.

Love you all, thanks for reading my first “in the field” blog, I will write with more details soon.
