Hello there beloved!
My name is Bizzy (Elizabeth) and I smile at the thought of you reading about what God is doing in my life, with hopes it will encourage you in your pursuit of Jesus.
This blog site will be where you can keep up with blips of how God is moving through this 11-month missions journey. It will be where I ask for prayer. This blog site will be focused on growth, love, and surrender to the Holy Spirit, Lord willing.
A glimpse of my resume, if you will: After graduating college from Susquehanna University with a marketing degree in 2016, God brought me back home to Maine to work with and grow in my home church, Eastpoint Christian Church. Interning in worship ministry for ten months, then serving as a full-time administrator for an extra eight months there gave me a taste of the beauty of working in ministry.
Oh, I love Jesus. Belonging to Him requires sacrifice of our wants and allowing and recognizing His grace washes over us with newness and His plans and dreams for us. Oh the sacrifice piece! After coming home and working at my beloved growing(!) church body in Maine, He beckoned my heart to this ‘idea’ of missions, specifically, the World Race.
The World Race program partners with Adventures in Missions, mobilizing people of all generations to follow the call of Jesus to go, love, baptize and teach, by providing short-term mission trips around the world. I’ll be heading to eleven different countries come August, from Honduras, to Thailand, to Malaysia.
For the World Race journey, I am eager to engage other parts of my spirit to love on people and go to deeper places of healing for others. Surely this will include tears, overcoming fears, and sacrifice, but! How beautiful and worthy is our God to follow? To show others His great love as He so powerfully shows us that same love? He amazes me.
Dear brothers and sisters, on this site I will ask for prayer and invite you to join me in this missions call. Prayers for boldness, healing, and obedience as my team and I aim to build His Church are appreciated. If you feel moved to support me financially, I welcome the help.
