Hello lovely people,

Well I am wrapping up month four of The Race! Wow! Time really does fly by. Today is our last day in Vietnam. Our squad will be traveling to Cambodia tomorrow. There, we will be having a 4 day debrief in Siem Reap. During this time we will also be doing team changes! WHAT?! I know I have to say goodbye to my lovely team Ahavah! It has been so fun getting to know and do life with the girls on team Ahavah. They have been my family for the past 4 months. I’ve laughed with them, cried with them, shared with them and grown with them. I would like to share with you something they wrote about me–a glimpse of what they learned about me these past 4 months!

“Becca loves depth! If you want instant connection include her in a deep conversation. Let her know what you think about. She’s the most extroverted so you extroverts out there get ready to hang out! Most of all she loves one-on-one time and loves when people are intentional with her. To be honest she’s the worst with names…we started keeping track of all the names she got wrong(e.g. she once called a girl “rabbit” when her name was carrot LOL). She loves being active, coffee, games, spas and massages. She is great at meeting new people and instantly connecting with locals. Becca is a hoot.”

“To love Becca well means being a good listener. She is an external processor and she doesn’t always want/need advice. Sometimes what she needs is just for you to listen as she works through things. She loves thrill seeking adventures. She isn’t going to live on the edge, she is going to jump off the edge and I encourage you to jump with her. An easy way to connect with her and show her you care is physical touch. A hug, or a hand hold, or a back rub makes her feel loved and cared for. If you hugged her and then handed her a kitten she would probably pee her pants from excitement!”

“Becca is an Enneagram 8 (if you don’t know what that is click here to learn more), but don’t let that tough exterior fool you. Just as much as she loves to challenge and push those around her to be their best selves, she also has a wonderfully sweet and sensitive interior longing to talk feelings for hours over coffee or maybe even something a little stronger. (; She LOVES physical touch so snuggles are always encouraged. If you can laugh and cry with her in the same day you’ve doing it right. Be honest and don’t be afraid to be direct with her. She’d rather hear what your really thinking then the watered down version. If she seems down encourage silent disco dance parties, or an adventure.  To know her is to love her.”

“Becca loves to dance, sing, be crazy, go on adventures, coffee, build relationships, meet strangers, buy cool stuff, give and receive lots of hugs, take selfies and break down and cry. She wants to know the deep stuff. You can love her by asking her how she is doing, or inviting her to all the things. She loves when you share your feelings with her, so be intentional.”

“Becca loves when you are vulnerable with her. She loves physical touch like hugs. Words of affirmation and quality time are very important to her. You can love her best by spending time with her especially on one-on-ones. Be silly with her, laugh with her. She is always one of the first to talk to the locals. Meet her at her level: energetic, explorative. Her pet peeves are feelings of exclusion and and a lack of communication in a setting. She is a joyful soul!”

Reading these notes from my teammates makes me smile and realize how much they truly know me almost more than I know myself!  I love how intentional they’ve been with me and how they have loved on me over these past 4 months. I feel so blessed to have been on a team with Jasmine, Brittany, Mallory, Aundraya, and last but certainly not least our fearless leader Kyndal!

Keep us in your prayers as we travel, boarder cross, debrief, and change teams in the next few days.

Love you all.
