Your probably wondering…Becca you’ve been in El Salvador for 2 weeks now, what have you been doing?! Well lucky for you I have been recording MY “12 days of ministry” in light of the Christmas season to show you a little bit of what l’ve been doing this month.
Here goes (feel free to read with the song “12 days of Christmas” in mind):
On the first day of Ministry Becca the missionary danced and sang songs in Spanish to kids with disabilities. (12/10/18)
On the second day of Ministry, Becca the missionary took around 300 kids, from orphanages around San Salvador, to the movie theater for the first time. (12/11/18)
On the third day of Ministry, Becca the missionary had yet another dance party with an orphanage of adults that have disabilities. This time there were 5 piñatas!! (12/12/18)
On the fourth day of Ministry, Becca the missionary listened to a girl in jail share her struggles and prayed over her. (12/13/18)
On the fifth day of Ministry, Becca the missionary wrote a blog to update her wonderful friends and family back home. (12/14/15)
On the sixth day of Ministry, Becca the missionary bought presents for a children in an orphanage for Christmas. (12/15/18)
On the seventh day of Ministry, Becca the missionary cleaned a church for their Sunday service and taught a bible lesson to the children. (12/16/17)
On the eighth day of Ministry, Becca the missionary shared a part of her testimony to teen moms and painted toy blocks for their kids. (12/17/18)
On the ninth day of Ministry, Becca the missionary served popcorn and snow cones to teenage girls in prison for their Christmas party. (12/18/18)
On the tenth day of Ministry, Becca the missionary celebrated Jesus’ birthday by giving out presents and serving cake to the adults in the orphanage that have disabilities. Yes there was a lot of dancing and yet another piñata! (12/19/18)
On the eleventh day of Ministry, Becca the missionary played soccer with the girls at Faminio (prison for young girls). (12/20/18)
On the twelfth day of Ministry, Becca the missionary rested by getting out into nature and hiked a volcano. (12/21/18) (unfortunately the wifi isn’t strong enough to post photos on my blog! *see Facebook for photos*)
I hope this paints a beautiful picture of what I’ve been doing this month here in El Salvador. I pray that this Christmas season has been a time of rest and joy for you and your families. Our team plans on spending Christmas day at our apartment here in El Salvador, opening secret santa gifts, making a wonderful breakfast together, and hopefully going to see a movie in English, if not watching a movie at home. It’s not the same as being at home, but we are trying to bring the Christmas spirit here, in El Salvador.
Feliz Navidad!!
B
