Because of the dangerous situation in Haiti due to the current civil unrest, we will no longer be traveling there. In addition, since it would not make sense to travel to the Caribbean for only one country, we will not be in the Dominican Republic either. Instead, we are adding two more countries in Asia! Our route now looks like this: Chile, Peru, Ecuador (this was also added as we will be traveling through the country for a couple weeks), Colombia, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
I was a little disappointed to hear of this route change, as I was excited to spend time in the Caribbean and to be able to go back to Haiti again, but I am looking forward to what God has in store for our team in these additional countries!
