Due to a situation that is out of my control, I am not certain at this time if I will be able to fulfil my commitment to participate in the World Race in August. Over the last few months I have had to deal with consequences for certain actions, through this time I felt many emotions; anger, disgust embarrassed, rejected…. Overtime you start to forgive yourself and others and right when you move on from the past, the devil attacks again. Though the devil may attack at any time, he will always do it when he thinks its to his advantage. We see this time and time again in the bible. Often time Satan attacks when someone is beginning a new journey, when they are physically or emotionally weak, when they are alone or sometimes he attacks us from an unexpected source-someone from whom we do not think. I have realized even more over the last few months just when we feel like we have had a victory over the devil, he returns again. As believers we all fall into sin, no one is perfect, ultimately we are victorious through Christ. This is the promise of GOd. As Christians we must always be on guard. Whenever I feel attacked by darkness, I refer to James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to GOd. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

At this time I am going to turn my donating tab off. I am going to remain in high hopes of getting to participate in August on the Amazing Race. I will keep everyone posted over the next few weeks, at this time I will have to withdraw from the race or will start up my fundraising again. For anyone who has donated thus far, your donations will remain in my account through World Race at this time.

Love &Peace,

Ashley

1 Peter 5:8-9 “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.”

Ephesians 6:11-17 “Put on the whole armor of GOd, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may to able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace….”
