(Luke 4:33-35) Once when he went into the synagogue, a man possessed by demons -an evil spirit- began shouting at Jesus, “Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are-the Holy One sent from God!” Jesus cut him short, “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered, at that the demon threw the man on the floor as the crowd watched; then it came out of him without hurting him further.
(John 14:12-14) “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name and I will do it, so that the sun can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name and I will do it!
(Genesis 1:27) So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
What Authority do you have? Just as we are made in Gods image, he has also given to us the authority he has over the demonic realm. In our own strength we are weak, but with his power and for his glory we can do all things. As it states in John,(above) we will go on to do greater things than even Jesus did. So why are we not seeing this happen?
The evil one knows that if you knew the power you carried he would have to flee. He would stand no chance in completing his evil work for destruction. Satan would respond to us as he did Jesus in Luke (above).”Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Ashley daughter of God (insert name and gender)? Have you come to destroy us?
This should be the reality of our walk with God. We should be walking every step we take stomping Satan at every turn. When satan see’s us coming he should want to flee. It is NOT a conversation. IT IS A COMMAND! “Jesus cut him short, “Be quiet,” HE ORDERED, at that the demon threw the man on the floor.This is simple, we just tend to over complicate it. I am also guilty of over complicating this simple fact, a fact satan 100% knows. WE HAVE ALL AUTHORITY UNDER THE FATHER!! There is no,”what about this situation?” Or,”what about that situation?” IN ALL SITUATIONS EVER, WE HAVE ALL THE AUTHORITY AND THE POWER IN GODS NAME TO TRUMP satan EVERY SINGLE TIME!!
That is all friends. Its simple. Stop questioning it. God did not stutter. You heard right the first time!!
(Ephesians 6:10-18) A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authority of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in heavenly places. Therefore put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in times of evil. Then after battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground putting on the belt of truth and body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes put on the peace that comes from the good news so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these hold up your shield of faith to stop every arrow of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet and take the sword if the spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
