Ministry – YWAM – we did a lot of construction and some ministry in the local town. We also worked with a local teen challenge for one day making chocolate! Transforma – Red light ministry, prayer ministry, watching kiddos during class! La Montana – cleaning dorms, serving food, and doing a lot of dishes!
Living Conditions – At YWAM, we stayed in a room of all 8 of us. We had bunk beds, occasional hot showers, and meals provided for us. At Transforma, we were split into two rooms, we made our meals and had real hot showers (Praise the Lord.) At La Montana we were all in a room together again. Cold showers and camp meals!
Scripture I read through – Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Songs of Songs (Our team was put together because leadership believes we are very wise women and it was so sweet to read books in the bible all about wisdom during my first month on this new team)
Language – Spanish
Highlights – WHITE WATER RAFTING, finding an eye specialist that could diagnose the infection in my eye, seeing squadmates
Lowlights – hard living conditions, my eye getting worse, getting sick on the bus to Puerto Viejo
