Living Conditions – We stayed at the Harvester’s Bible Church Mission House. The house had five rooms with rooms of 4-6, we had bunk beds, (sometimes had) running water, sometimes that water was even hot for showers! Hand washed clothes, meals provided for us, and we walked everywhere except the church that was 1 hour away.
Scripture I read through – Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth
Language – Sesotho
Highlights – Team time at Sani Pass, Nightly Tea Time, beauty for ashes women’s event, having fewer distractions of being in a city, Praying with Farrah and Malaysa, Preaching, Praying and Sharing my Testimony at the hospital, having dogs on campus, making new friends
Lowlights – squad mates getting sick, having no running water for days at a time
Friends Made – The whole crew at Harvesters bible church
Lessons Learned – Deeper gratitude for things I take for granted like electricity, water, wi-fi, having a car
Stories to ask me about – The day I preached at the Hospital, and 19 people gave their lives to Christ.
Scripture of the day:
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present tie are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” Romans 8:18 (ESV)
Song of the day – Center of your love
