As I wait
I’ve been lead to a valley
Because my Lord bled out on a mountain
In this valley I can’t help but think
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Ironically my Lord had a plea
And spoke the same thing
I walk through this valley
And can only see the dark of night
As I wait in darkness
I recognize my need for light
Yet the light of the world was put out
And I can’t help but question the finale
As I wait, I can’t help but wonder
If I’ll ever see past this storm
Or hear past the thunder
As I wait, it’s so easy to rely on my on intellect
I can’t see the other side
I can’t see the final effects
As I wait, it’s so easy to forget
The faithful promises he made
As I wait, it’s so easy to regret
The dreadful plans which I gave aid
As I wait, I can’t figure out what my God could be doing,
but needless to say, even while dead, he continued to work
to fulfill the promise to all who was in Abraham’s bosom
