Hey!

Things are going great in Mokhotlong, Lesotho. My team is with two other teams staying in two mission houses with the beautiful mountains always in view. The food is great. The people are super nice. The weather feels like 70s-80s with a slight breeze and no humidity. I have never been more thankful for running water and electricity until now lol. I get an hour of wifi per week and will not be on social media aside from posting blogs. We are doing various ministries like soup kitchens, speaking to and praying for people at the hospital, speaking at church, prison ministry, construction, gardening and landscaping, prayer walks, church and school cleaning, youth ministry, and evangelism.

Thank you again so much to all of my supports and partners.

My squad mates and I have had many intentional and encouraging conversations, and I’ve had so many instances of hanging out and playing with children. There are too many testimonies to count and explain. God works in crazy ways and here are just a few examples:

  • 5 inmates accepted Jesus this week.
  • A man at the hospital with Tuberculosis and a woman with an infection in her food at the hospital accepted Jesus.
  • 4 people accepted Jesus at the soup kitchen.
  • 2 healings at the soup kitchen.
  • Sharing the Gospel with 30 Muslim-Malay students at a pizza party.
  • A traveler accepting Jesus at a bar in Penang, Malaysia.
  • A traveler accepting Jesus at a night market in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
  • A muslim lady in Kuala Lumpur left her life of shame to follow Jesus.

I have been amazed at how God has moved thru talking with strangers. The race has been challenging for me specifically, because we do a lot of on-the-fly evangelism. I am more into one-on-one discipleship than evangelism, because I know how much discipleship has helped me in my relationship with God. As I see so many people accepting Jesus, I am reminded of when I was at training camp and I got emotional, like bawling crying, during the sessions when they talked about how our blogging, fundraising, and parent trip would affect my friends and family. I want everyone to know Jesus for sure. I Especially want my loved ones, friends and family, to be solid with God, super close to God, and know and be who God made them to be. I say that to say: I love you. I care about you. I am praying for you. I desire for you to know God and know how much you are loved by God.

Love,

Amanda (Mandy to some :))
