This month, I spent two weeks in a Peruvian jungle, Chuquibambilla. We came alongside two missionaries that have been living there with the Nomatsiguenga people group for 6 months now. This group of people were unreached, meaning they’ve never heard the story of Christ before, but not any longer. The Nomatsiguengas are spread all throughout the Peruvian jungle so this is one of the first villages of Nomatsiguengas to hear The Gospel and have the New Testament translated into their mother tongue. They’re currently working on translating the Old Testament.
This month was refreshing in so many ways. We made simple skits to teach a Bible story, sang the Spanish version of “Way Maker” because that’s the village’s favorite, and taught about how God keeps His Promises while giving Biblical proof of it.
Sometimes we make it too hard. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a wonderful thing to dive into deep theological topics, but man- it’s so beautiful to just remind ourselves of the simple yet powerful things.
God is good.
God saves.
God keeps His Promises.
PS: I COME HOME IN 4 DAYS!!!!!!!! Whattttttt
To those who have supported me and prayed for me, I can’t thank you enough. YOU brought Kingdom this year.
Be blessed,
Alyssa ??
