One of the themes on my race so far is the Lord helping me detect the lies that I have been holding on to and replacing them with the truth of what He says. One of the greatest and hardest lie to replace is my beauty. Slowly, but surely he has been ripping back the layers of hurt and wounds and blaming them with his sweet words and love. This is a spoken word that I wrote about the process! Know that the Lord sees you as beautiful. You were made on purpose and for a purpose. What lies have been spoken to you that you need to replace with truth?
You are beautiful.
You are not a mistake.
You are enough.
(Good, now Again)
You are beautiful.
You are not a mistake.
You are enough.
(Again)
You are beautiful.
You are not a mistake.
You are enough.
Dear one, repeat my words.
Continue to say them until they have reached every scar of your heart.
Let my words replace the lies that have been fed to you.
Let me heal the wounds of the past.
Daughter don’t you know how I made you?
I am the one who created your 10 toes and fingers.
I am the one who added color to your eyes, mixing it to the right shade of blue.
I am the one who stranded your scalp with hair that is thick, brown, and wavy.
I am the one who sculpted your curves.
I am the one who created your skin to be able to stretch, thus creating your beautiful marks.
I am the one who splattered painted those freckles on your shoulder.
I am the one who put your hips at just the right width.
I am the one who put those dimples in your cheeks.
I am the one who made you.
You may look like your father and mother, but I am the Father who purposely made you.
You bear my image and my name.
You are my work of art,
And believe me when I say that you are one of my greatest creations.
I am the creator of beauty and you, my darling are beautiful.
Your body is my temple.
You bring me glory.
You bring me such great joy, sweet daughter.
So stop doubting your beauty.
Stop allowing others voices to cover mine.
Because you are mine.
So again.
I am beautiful.
I am not a mistake.
I am enough.
