Hello friends!

So big news: we have a route change!!

Instead of spending month 6 in Malaysia, we will be spending months 4 and 6 in Thailand with month 5 in between being spent doing ministry in Myanmar/Burma !!!!

I’m so so excited to be going to Myanmar; I honestly almost chose a different route for my race just so I could go there so wow is God good. And because y’all know a lot of things about my other countries and about Malaysia and probably next to nothing about Myanmar, I wanted to take some time this week to become informed myself about the country as well as inform you guys so you can be praying into what ministry will be like there alongside myself and my squad. So without further ado, let me introduce you to Myanmar!

Myanmar is a country in Southeast Asia bordering Thailand.

From the world race website:

Myanmar’s story is of a struggle for independence.

Political groups have fought an ongoing war in this country for over 60 years.

Commonly called Burma but officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, political unrest and human right violations have led to nearly 200,000 refugees residing within Myanmar and neighboring countries like Thailand.

Natural disasters, a sinking economy, and corrupt government have led to despair and poverty for many Burmese.

Major religions include:

Buddhism 88%

Protestant Christianity 6%

Islam 4%

Other 2%

Our squad leaders also told us that because Myanmar’s borders have been closed for many years previously, their culture is very untouched by western culture. They said it will be drastically different than anywhere else we’ll go. Wow God. Thanks for taking me on a journey.

Thank you guys for supporting me in everything and for your prayers! Keep praying for my team and I, for our ministry here in Guatemala, and for the rest of the countries that we’ll go to, including Myanmar. I know God must have such big plans for us there for Him to change our direction like that. So so excited to see how He’s going to work and how He’s going to use us! Let’s go Myanmar!

All my love,
