This is my favorite photo from Guatemala (my favorite country!). The photo may be low quality, but the story behind it will forever hold a place in my heart.
We were having lunch in Abuelo and Abuela’s tiny bedroom/living room/dining room. We had finished a delicious lunch when Evelyn (their granddaughter) sat beside me to proudly show me all her school work. I helped with her homework as she giggled. At the end she grabbed my phone, demanding that everyone smile and took this picture. Abuela threw up some peace signs as everyone cracked up. It was a great day with people I love and this blurry photo captured the moment perfectly.
