Dear Family & Friends:
As my time on the World Race has come to an end, some of you may be wondering what my next steps will look like as I re-enter into the U.S. This post is to fill you in on what my plan looks like for this next little season of my life, and also to ask for your continued support as I complete this year of missions and fulfill the call that God has placed on my life!
One way that the Lord has shifted my mindset over the course of the Race is that I now realize that ministry is not just something we do when we’re on a missions trip or we’re asked to. Ministry is a lifestyle, something that should happen every day and in the most unexpected moments. My “World Race” mission trip has ended, but the mission field that is my life won’t end until I’m back with my Father in Heaven one day.
This next phase of my year-long mission experience is to learn more how to use my worship/arts gifts to lead God’s people in worship and outreach. I have been given the opportunity to explore my gifting at my home church of Christ the King in Charlotte, NC. Over the next three months I will be crafting and discovering new ways to develop and grow our community in worship, refine my calling and gifts, and prepare for the next mission calling God has on my life. I am super passionate about worship and community, so it’s an honor and a blessing that God has given me this opportunity. My hope is that eventually worship and outreach will flow throughout the city of Charlotte and beyond.
