So we’ve all heard the crazy notions of Christmas in July. Recently the Dodgers have had a few road games where the theme of the night was Christmas in July.
Earlier today my squad mate Cameron wrote a blog about his love for baseball and how he is giving that up for the year. You can read that post Here.
Well I, like Cameron, love this time of year because it is trade season in baseball and it is a lot of fun seeing how the good teams are getting better and how my Dodgers always look to get better. September is another favorite time of year because it is getting down to the nitty gritty and teams are starting to clinch divisions and the postseason is starting to take shape.
This year I will be in Costa Rica when the NL West is Clinched hopefully by my Dodgers. So July is like my September. I will miss the last third of the baseball season and hope my Dodgers can win the World Series while I am in Nicaragua. Like I said in my Opening day post which you can read Here. I will not be paying attention to baseball while I am away and I look forward to seeing God work in that time. I hope to come back to the Dodgers having won the World Series but then again I hope I am changed to be more like God and seeking him more each day baseball. I look forward to sharing the ways God has used baseball in my life on the Race.
God is greater than baseball and He is first in my life. Baseball is just a vehicle God has used to draw me closer to him. I want God way more than the vehicle in which he uses.
