First of all I want to say that if you have partnered me in anyway prayerfully, financially or by reading my blogs. Thank you. If you haven’t subscribed to my blog but have supported me financially, I have personally subscribed you because I will be leaving the country soon and want you to be part of the journey as well.
So it has been a week since I left training camp and two weeks since I got my team assignment and I want to introduce you to my team but first a little background on what I was expecting to happen.
Before team assignments happened we did some team building exercises and were placed with different people in teams of 6 or 7. The teams I was placed in were all very similar with 4 of the 6 of us being in the same team all 3 times and 5 of 6 of us being in the same team twice. After the 3rd exercise we were told by leadership that they liked our team and were thinking that this would be the team that would go into the field. So I just was expecting that when we got our team assignments later that day. Like a lot of things in the mission field things don’t go as we think.
My team is wonderful and I couldn’t be happier with the placement. However, when we had been given our team assignments the 4 of us who had done all the team builders together were split up and I had to take a moment to grieve that loss before I got excited about my new team. So here is my team and the people I will be seeing everyday while we are in Central America.
