During team time yesterday, we were doing check-ins and I finally put aside my fears of embarrassment and shared something I’ve been struggling with everyday for the past week. I’ve been struggling with lustful thoughts and frustrated that it continued to come up daily. I have cried out to the Lord and tried to take my thoughts captive. Deciding to tell my team and asking for prayer was powerful and humbling. The awesome thing was there were two others struggling with a similar issue. Sharing my struggle encouraged others to bring it to light and helped me not feel alone. I strongly believe there’s power in His name, especially when things are brought into light and people are interceding for you. These lustful thoughts were distracting me from the Lord and fully enjoying life. I want to encourage you to bring your sins, fears, and struggles into light. Surround yourself with people who will keep you accountable and will intercede through prayer.
