Our last month with team leader Naomi. Good bye Dominican Republic. 🙂

It is crazy how fast time is flying by. I’m all packed up and ready to leave to Jamaica for our month 3. This month in the DR we are in a little village in the mountains with a view that doesn’t cease to take my breath away every morning. It looks and feels like a mountain paradise. Due to our hosts health complications, instance rain, and wind we didn’t have a steady M-F full work days. At first I sort of struggled with that, the “American/westerner” in me wanted to get things done but the neat thing is God used this quiet time to grow me spiritually in a whole new way.

We did a lot of prayer walks through the community and attended whole group sessions that were lead by our gifted squad leaders. I learned about inner healing, the Holy Spirit, and practiced listening prayer. I was asked to be my team’s worship facilitator and through this new role I realized that there wasn’t just one way to worship Jesus. Also, this month opened my eyes to certain pains I was still carrying and needed to experience healing.

In addition, I’m walking away this month with a new confidence. I no longer fear that I might not hear from the Lord during prayer. I’ve grown in patience and obedience to just sit in His presence. Yay God!!! 🙂
