Good morning Jamaica! The view from our kitchen window.

This month we have been blessed with a kitchen and a little stove, which means access to hot water. Instant coffee has never tasted this good before! 🙂 Thank you, Jesus.

With limited space, we are learning to be creative when it comes time to working out.

Starting out each morning with quiet time has become a routine I have come to highly treasure. It has been playing a key role in helping me grow more intimate with the Lord.

As I prepared for the 11 month journey, one of my desires was to dig deeper into scripture and read the Bible from start to finish. I’m embarrassed to admit that even though I was raised in a Christian household I never have read the Bible in its entirety.

Fast forward to launch in Georgia, upon our arrival we all received a key with a word that was specifically prayed over for each one of us. The words inscribed on my key was Daily Bread. I have discovered more and more why this key was specifically made just for me.  During our month one in Haiti, I fell in love with the Bible while studying Nehemiah. Reading the Bible no longer seemed as something I had to do but now as something I couldn’t wait to do.

Bible study with Pastor Raymond. Most mornings, before heading out for ministry we do a bible study with the pastor and his family.

Heading out to do street evangelism with Pastor Raymond.

During street evangelism, we met a woman named Gloria. The next day, we were in her neighborhood and stopped by to say hi and met her precious grandson. He was very excited to share his book and toy collection with us.

On Wednesdays the pastor leads a bible study down the road from his house at a barber shop. He is very passionate about ministering to young men.

A kiddo in our neighborhood working on constructing his own kite for the kite festival. He is using sticks, trash, bags, and plants to create his kite master piece. The town we are staying in has a huge kite festival on Easter Sunday every year.

Pastor Raymond leading us in worship at his church on Sundays.

Happy Easter!!! We had the opportunity to lead the entire church service for Easter Sunday. The pastor and his wife celebrated their 6th year anniversary Easter weekend. The Lord laid on our hearts to pull our money together to send them off for a short weekend gateway. They have been such an amazing example of a Godly and loving marriage. It was such an honor to bless them in this way.

Evening run up and down the street we live on.

Jewel and Sharon (Pastor Raymond’s wife) are preparing to make a traditional Jamaican meal for dinner.

Dinner is served! 🙂

Megan is leading an Art Expressions worship session. One of the things that I’ve learned on the Race is there are many ways to worship Jesus.

Thank you for reading this blog and letting me share what God is doing in my life on the Race. Thank you for your financial support and prayers.
